Benefit for Sam Wharton at Isis Music Hall

sam isis music hallOn September 12th Sam Wharton went to the ER with stroke symptoms. An MRI showed six lesions in his brain, including a large lesion on his brain stem. After a cancer scare and and emergency craniotomy, Sam was diagnosed with cavernous angioma, a heritable condition that causes an overgrowth of small, tangled veins in the liver and brain. As frightening as the diagnosis was, we were thrilled when cancer and infection were ruled out.

The Steep Canyon Rangers are hosting a Benefit show for Sam as he and his family are dear friends of the band. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. They will be available in advance at Isis. It will be an all standing show and 100% of profits go to the "Help Sam Wharton" fund. To read more about Sam's story, click here. The Darren Nicholson band will open and special guests will be in the encore.
