Steep Canyon Rangers & Dale's Pale Ale Partner Up

steep canyon rangers Steep Canyon Rangers is proud to announce their new partnership for 2015 with Oskar Blues Brewery and Dale's Pale Ale. Helping people and giving back to the community is something that OBB owner, Dale Katechis has always been engaged in. When he created Oskar Blues CAN'd Aid Foundation, Katechis took his charitable leanings to the next level. In 2014, every dollar raised by the foundation has been matched by Oskar Blues Brewery, providing a tremendous motivation for individuals and other philanthropic entities. And Katechis just announced that for the rest of 2014, he will personally match every donation--meaning you can triple what you give! Consider making a donation in someone's honor this holiday season.

"Our partnering with Oskar Blues and Dales Pale Ale is totally exciting! We have personally known Dale and have considered him a good friend for well over 10 years and Oskar Blues has been the beer sponsor for our Mountain Song Festival since its inception", explains Woody Platt. "Now that there's an Oskar Blues Brewery open in Brevard NC, this pairing is a perfect fit. We plan to use our music and touring to help raise money and awareness for their CAN'd Aid foundation and to help introduce their brand to our fans along the way!"

The partnership kicks off with a ticketed pre-show Meet and Greet on Saturday, January 10 in The Pulp space at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. This casual event will feature Oskar Blues newest beer release, PINNER Throwback IPA, and a chance to visit with the Rangers and take some selfies. All proceeds go to the CAN’d Aid Foundation. Meet & Greet tickets here.

CAN’d Aid is the non-profit side of Oskar Blues Brewery and is a 501(c)(3) charity. Shakin’ things up in the world of non-profits – our funky, fractured grassroots grants give power to the people. Our whole concept of giving back and doing good starts with YOU! By granting out money to passionate, creative “get ‘er done” folks with great ideas, we hope to spark a revolution in communities across the country. Tell us WHAT you need money for, WHY you need it and HOW you’ll use it to make a difference in your town. In less than a year and a half, CAN'd Aid Foundation has given $750,000 in ColoRADo flood relief efforts plus $200,000 to 42 other organizations and projects nationwide. By putting our own spin on what charitable giving looks like, we’re able to stay nimble, respond quickly and remain true to our roots.
